Step 1
You send through your enquiry and some information about your project. I reply and ask you a few questions about your project, timeline and budget so I can give you an accurate quote. I then send you through a proposal with a quote for your entire project. If you wish to go ahead, you sign the quote, send it back and then pay a 50% deposit to get your job started. (Jobs under $500 require payment in full before I begin writing.)
Step 2
I send you through a detailed briefing questionnaire, followed up by a phone call or email, so I can get all the information I need to write your content.
You send through any additional information (if necessary) such as existing copy, previous collateral, links to relevant information etc.
Step 3
I research your business and industry, check out what your competitors are doing and how you can do it better, refer to the detailed questionnaire, and write your content.
Step 4
One round of revisions are included as part of the project fee to ensure that you get copy that you love.
Step 5
Once you approve the copy, I send through an invoice for the final payment.
Hopefully, it will be the start of a wonderful working relationship!
SEO copywriting for a website takes approximately 4 weeks from start to finish (depending on how many pages you need written). This allows time for our briefing, my SEO and industry research, writing your content and two rounds of revisions.
Most business owners are incredibly busy, and sometimes a project may be held up because you need more time to fill in the brief or review the draft copy. So, please make sure you have the available time to collaborate on the project at the time of booking. The critical times are at the start of the project when we go through the briefing process, and after I have delivered the first draft of your copy and we go through the two rounds of revisions. I’m happy to schedule calls or feedback sessions at a time that suits you, so we can keep the project on track.
Please note that the SEO copywriting for your website can be sped up by request (if I have room in my schedule). For VIP delivery of your website copy in just 7 business days, add a rush fee of 50%.
Step 1. When you’re ready to take the first step towards transforming your business content marketing, you can book a FREE 30-minute discovery call with me. We can discuss your specific needs together, and I’ll outline a plan to achieve your business goals.
Step 2. Following our call, I’ll send you a detailed proposal outlining the inclusions and pricing of your tailored content marketing package.
Step 3. If you choose to work with me, depending on your package you’ll pay a 50% commencement payment and I’ll then arrange a more formal 1-hour kick-off call via phone or zoom where we’ll go through a detailed brief. If you don’t already have a content marketing strategy, this will be the first project I complete before moving on to your content creation.
Step 4. I’ll go away and create your content while you focus on running your biz.
Step 5. You’ll review and approve your content, and then, depending on your package, I’ll post it for you, or you’ll take the content and post it.
Step 6. Then, if you’re on a 3-month content plan, we do it all over again. Starting with a 30-minute call to discuss your next month’s batch of content.
Content marketing packages are tailored to your needs, so all the pricing is custom. You’ll receive a detailed proposal outlining your needs and a recommended package. Depending on your needs, I may even give you a few packages to choose from so you can find an option that best suits your budget and needs.
If you’re a start-up or a new business without a marketing budget, my services might not be the right fit for you right now. But you are welcome to jump on a call with me, join my email list, or follow me on Instagram or LinkedIn for valuable content.
Each project is quoted on an individual basis because every project is different. When we talk on the phone or via email, I will ask you questions about your project to get a sense of the scope and what’s involved. Then I can send you through a quote.
Some projects are very simple because a client knows exactly what they want and not many words are needed. Other jobs are more complex, such as writing a website from scratch or an Annual Report where a lot of research or interviewing staff is required. A blog piece may involve writing a 350 word post that requires only a couple of hours of research, or a 2,500 word thought leadership article which requires multiple interviews. So, you can see why I can’t list a standard price on this website.
When you use my services, you get over 12 years of experience and copywriting and marketing know-how. So, you’ll end up with original, quality content that gets results.
Best thing to do is get in touch for a quote.
Breezy Words is located on the beautiful Central Coast in NSW, just north of Sydney. This is an online business which means that I work with clients from all around Australia.
It helps if you can educate yourself about SEO in general. As a business owner, it’s a handy skill to have. And it may save you from paying thousands of unnecessary dollars to SEO agencies.
For our website project, you can leave all the on-page SEO bits and pieces to me. But I’m happy to answer questions about it as we work together. I include a supporting document with your website copy that explains all the SEO components of your copy, as well as a technical SEO checklist to give to your web developer to implement.
Because there’s a lot involved with SEO, I can never make the guarantee that you will rank on page one of a Google search. Why? Because as a copywriter, I work with on-page SEO copy only – the stuff that helps your website get found via an organic search on Google. But this is only one piece of the SEO puzzle.
There are many other SEO components beyond the on-page SEO copywriting services that I provide. Your web developer can help you with the technical side of website SEO, such as making sure your website loads quickly, uses compressed images, is mobile-friendly, and has an XML site map. In addition, your web developer can sign you up for tools like Google Analytics and Google Console, which help monitor how well your website is doing. Many web developers also offer ongoing support in this area.
Then once your website is live, you can do tasks yourself that helps with your off-page SEO. For example, setting up or improving your Google Business Profile.
SEO is an ongoing process, and it takes time to work. If you’re website is new and you’re competing with established websites and brands, it may take you a few months to rank. Sometimes it might only take a couple of weeks. Your website SEO is never something that is completely finished. Instead, it needs to be part of your ongoing marketing strategy.
But rest assured that having the relevant keywords in place and your on-page SEO sorted from the start of your business journey will help. You’ll already be doing better than the millions of websites that don’t include SEO-friendly copy.
It’s best to know exactly how many website pages you require written before we start the project – so you can choose the right website copywriting package. But if you don’t know how many website pages you need, I can advise you on the ideal website structure based on your business goals, services and industry. We can do this during the discovery call stage, and I’ll then provide you with a detailed proposal outlining the scope of work.
If you need another web page or two written during your project, I can write the extra pages at an additional cost.
Each situation has pros and cons, and you need to consider them from your business perspective and see what works best for you. Although I’m technically a freelance content writer, I’m also a specialist in many different areas, including sales copywriting, website SEO copywriting, content editing and marketing. I consider myself to be a mini-agency as I can work with my clients on many aspects of their business.
And just because I’m a party of one doesn’t mean I don’t have access to other skilled freelancers, from photographers to website developers to graphic designers, whom I can introduce you to or manage for any additional marketing needs.
As a one-person lean marketing machine, I don’t have the overheads of paying for multiple employees and office space. That means I can do a lot of what agencies do without the high price tag—but note that you’re still paying for my 15 years of experience and expertise. I won’t try to fit you into a one-size-fits-all package that doesn’t suit your needs.
You only have to worry about being in touch with one person—me. I offer a personal experience that makes my clients feel heard and cared for (no matter their budget).
I’m also a good choice as an extension of an in-house marketing team or for small business owners needing digital marketing help without committing to Google AdWords spending or social media advertising on top of paying an agency. Instead, I employ strategies that focus on increasing your reach organically via SEO and engaging content marketing.
Payment can be made via direct bank transfer into Breezy Words’ nominated account.
Yes, it does. Many business owners write their own website copy but end up going to a website copywriter because they need help to polish or improve it. Or they need an SEO copywriter to add in on-page SEO.
I’m always happy to look at the copy you’ve written, as I can use it as reference material when I write your website pages. But ‘rewriting’ copy takes the same amount of time as having to write copy from scratch. To get my head around your business and services, I still need to follow all the same processes – from taking a brief and researching your industry and competitors to keyword research, writing SEO-friendly copy, rounds of revisions, editing, proofreading, etc.
If you’re mostly happy with your existing copy and want it to be copy edited and proofread, then I can put on my editing cap and do that for you. I would quote you for an editing job only and not be looking at SEO or strategy or any copywriting other than changing a word or two for grammatical purposes.
You might be wondering “How can Breezy Words write about my industry without working within it?” A good copywriter and marketer can write about any topic! Though it helps that I have more than 12 years’ copywriting and marketing experience and a degree majoring in journalism.
First, I research your business, industry and competitors and ask questions to you or your nominated person to get the raw material I need. I can also look at any reports, previous marketing collateral you have used, or whatever you think is relevant for me to look at to get a proper understanding of your business.
Then, I put myself in the shoes of your target audience to find their pain points and how your products or services can address their needs. I also write in the tone of voice of your business — whether that’s serious and authoritative or casual and personable.
For starters, I’m a copywriter, editor and marketer — so you get the benefit of all those skills.
I’m experienced and qualified:
I have over 12 years’ copywriting experience and have worked in the marketing departments of many large companies.
I have a BA Communications (majoring in journalism) and a Diploma in Book Editing and Publishing. I’m also a qualified English as a Second Language teacher with three years teaching experience working in South Korea, Sydney and London. I’ve completed refresher courses in copywriting, content writing, writing for the web, blog writing and real estate copywriting.
Plus, I love writing content for social. I run a blog and Instagram account about books in my spare time!
But wait there’s more. You’ll also get:
- Flexibility – Use Breezy Words for one-off jobs or put me on a retainer. I can work in a way that suits you.
- Quick service – You’ll get a quick response to your enquiry and a quick turnaround once your job is booked. No deadline has ever been missed.
- Original content that is written specifically for your business – After a detailed briefing process, research on your industry and competitors. You can be assured that your content will be original and not copy and pasted from somewhere else.
- No subcontracting – I don’t pass on your content to be written by someone else. Every word is written by me so you can be assured of quality and originality.
- Experience – Many people offering their services as copywriters have no marketing experience, but I do – which means that every word will work hard for you.
- Versatility – Breezy Words works across many different areas such as business communications, social media content, marketing collateral, advertising, website content and editing so you can get all your content needs addressed in one place.
- Problem solving attitude – I go beyond just writing content and will offer you suggestions and solutions to issues you didn’t even know you had.
Good question! I have over 15 years of experience in copywriting and marketing. Before starting my business, many of my previous roles involved writing copy for websites and content managing the backend of corporate websites. Then I further expanded on these skills by working with my own clients once launching Breezy Words. So, I have both website copywriting ability and technical abilities.
As a web copywriter, I continuously build on my SEO copywriting skills as a member of Duo Collective’s SEO Group Coaching membership, where we talk about all things SEO. I also refreshed my SEO skills by undertaking their amazing SEO on Tap course. I’m a copywriting mentor inside of award-winning copywriter Alex Cattoni’s Spark membership, offering advice and copywriting tips to fellow copywriters. And I listen to regular podcasts on the world of copywriting, marketing and SEO to keep up-to-date with the latest happenings in the industry.
I built the website you’re currently on, and I know my way confidently around the backend of WordPress. Plus, if you found me via a Google search, it shows I know what I’m doing regarding SEO. I continue to upskill in website copywriting and SEO via several paid memberships and courses.
There are many website copywriters out there charging a wide range of prices – and we all bring different skills to the table. Some are whizzes at eCommerce websites; others are all about personality-driven copy. My difference is that I’m not just a web copywriter; I’m also a marketing strategist, SEO copywriter, content writer, and editor. I bring all these skills to your website project.
For me, it’s not just about writing compelling words – it’s about combining copy with the best on-page SEO and a strong marketing strategy to bring you the clients and profits you desire organically (rather than having to pay for expensive SEO agencies and Google Ads). Otherwise, you have words on a page that serve no purpose. At the same time, the editor in me makes sure that your website copy is polished and error-free.
I pride myself on giving added value and going the extra mile for my clients. I want to make the whole process easy for you, and I want you to walk away with website content you’re excited about and some bonus SEO knowledge, too.
Feel free to check out (stalk) my About page, Instagram, LinkedIn, and blog to get more of an idea of my credentials and who I am as a person. You might also see some cute photos of my dogs! And, of course, feel free to chat with me and ask me questions at the discovery stage, so we can find out if we’re a good fit.
You own the final content. I’m a ghostwriter for your business and all the content I write belongs to you once final payment has been made. You can publish it with your business name attached.
My website copywriting packages are a guide based on my most popular services of 3-page, 5-page and 8-page website copy. If you require 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, or more website pages, I can send you a custom quote based on your needs.
But I keep my other inclusions listed in the packages the same. So, if you want web copy but don’t care about including SEO and being found by search engines, I’m not the right copywriter for you. I believe that website copy needs to be search engine optimised so your customers can find you.
If you don’t want research or competitor analysis, again, this is all part of my process, and it’s how I write you the best copy possible. So, it’s a vital piece of the website copywriting puzzle that we both can’t do without.
Before I start working on a project, I talk to you, get an idea of the scope, and quote accordingly. However, I know from experience that sometimes projects change. Maybe the project started with no interviews required and now you want me to conduct an interview. Or you requested copy for a four page website and then decide that four more pages of content are needed.
Changing a project’s scope is doable, but it does mean that we will need to discuss these changes and the final project fee will need to be requoted. Also, if we are working to a particular deadline and the project will now take more of my time, I will need to see if our original timeline is still achievable (given that I work with other clients as well and have other deadlines).
If you want to rewrite your website or need a SEO copywriting refresh, but you’re unsure what pages to focus on, or how much of a rewrite you need, I can help. I offer a Website Copy Audit package where I look at the copy on your current website and give you guidance and suggestions on how to improve it. You’ll receive a detailed report that you can take away and use to make the changes yourself, or you can get me to write your content for you as part of my Website Copywriting Packages.
Check out the Website Copy Audit page for all the details and how I can help you strategise and plan your website rewrite.
Of course! If you require proofing or copy editing services but you’re not sure which service you require, don’t worry. I will ask you to send me your document so I can suggest what is needed and I can give you an accurate quote. I will be honest in my appraisal and recommend only what is needed. Your document will be treated in the strictest confidence.
I take on as many projects as I can handle, but sometimes my time gets fully booked out. As you can see, Breezy Words offers a lot of services, but there’s only one me. The best way to find out my availability is to get in touch.
No. I can do simple design work such as website banners, brochures and posters etc. I have a great knowledge of PhotoShop and InDesign BUT I’m not a designer so I won’t be able to design your content piece. I’ve worked alongside graphic designers my whole professional life and have so much respect for what they can do and I know all the ins-and-outs of briefing a designer.
So what does this mean for you? It means I can write the content you need for your collateral, but that you will need a graphic designer to make it look pretty for you. I’m more than happy to work with your nominated designer, brief them on your behalf, and work side by side with them through the draft process. If you have no idea how you want your content to look, I can also come up with the visual concept (in keeping with your branding guidelines).
Technically, I can do this, but it’s currently not a service I offer. Every part of the website you are currently reading was all written and constructed by me using WordPress. However, if I offered this service to clients I would unfortunately have no time to offer any other services.
But I’m happy to work alongside your web developer, writing the content for your website with SEO and your target audience in mind. I’ve also content managed many business websites so I have a great understanding of writing for the web and creating content in the back-end of a website. This all helps when I’m writing content for your website. I can also offer many helpful tips and suggestions to help you plan your website structure.
Not at this time. I only work with businesses based in Australia.
